The job, in the employer's words

WE HAVE CREATED A WORLD WHERE ART AND SCIENCE ARE BEST FRIENDS

Known is what happens when a data science firm and a creative agency stop arguing and start collaborating. We were built from scratch with PhD data scientists and award-winning creatives working on the same briefs, from day one. That structure earned us an Ad Age #3 A-List ranking, back-to-back Data & Insights Agency of the Year wins, plus Emmys, Cannes Lions, Clios, and Effies across clients in finance, tech, entertainment, consumer goods, and real estate. We're distributed across the U.S. and unapologetically ambitious.

If you're tired of choosing between doing smart work and doing creative work, you'll fit right in here.

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT US, LET'S TALK ABOUT YOU

About the role:

The Media team continues to grow and so does our need for Media Operations experts. The Project Manager, Media Operations will establish clear processes and best practices and work with the media team to ensure we’re executing flawlessly against fast-paced timelines and complex plans. To succeed in this role will require exceptional organizational skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholder groups.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop robust, disciplined, and consistent processes and best practices to ensure on-time, excellent delivery in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Partner with the Media Science team to proactively identify operational risks, devise solutions, and implement changes.
  • Train media team members to ensure adherence to established processes and best practices.
  • Solicit input from cross-functional leads to define, document, train, and maintain best practices for agency tools.
  • Act as a liaison between the Media Science team and support teams for agency tools to optimize the user experience and increase efficient use of these platforms.
  • Onboard new accounts, introducing new clients and new Known team members to our systems, guiding them through the transition phase, and putting a strong operational foundation in place for day-to-day account management
  • If needed, provide project management support for specific clients or projects, applying our best practices while addressing the unique needs of a given initiative

WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE

  • 8-10+ years of media operations or project management experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably a media agency or in-house on a media team.
  • You have experience overseeing project management and/or operations for media clients with multiple stakeholders and efforts happening simultaneously.
  • You have experience working with key media processes and workflows, including media plan briefing, plan development, campaign execution, trafficking, reporting, and creative asset management.
  • You understand billing and reconciliation processes for media clients and for partners/vendors.
  • You work closely with departments like Data Science, Engineering, and Finance.
  • You have a collaborative, problem-solving mindset and work well with a variety of people and organizations.
  • You’re comfortable partnering with clients and senior decision makers.
  • You possess a disciplined approach to your work and are proactive in identifying issues and developing and executing on solutions.
  • You can capably balance structure and discipline with the moments when a team needs to be flexible to service the evolving needs of a client.
  • You communicate effectively and understand how to present new ideas to encourage adoption.
  • You’re detail-oriented, organized, and capable of focusing on the intricacies of unique issues that affect the team’s ability to work.
  • Experience with media management platforms like Lumina and Prisma or project management platforms like Smartsheet or JIRA is a plus.

SOME OF OUR PERKS

  • Unlimited paid time off

ONE LAST THING TO ASK YOURSELF

All this might sound great, but you’re probably still wondering, “Would I be a good fit for Known?” or “Would Known be a good fit for me?” Our culture is propped up by four values that we aspire to every day: We are one team. We see the good. We never stop learning. There’s always a better way. At Known we are setting out to build something more than just a company. We are building a legacy filled with exceptionally talented people with a kaleidoscope of backgrounds, experiences, and origin stories who feel encouraged and empowered to bring their whole selves to work, and to partner with us in molding and shaping our culture through our values.
