Commissioning Engineer - Technologist - Field Based Position

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Commissioning Engineer / Technologist to join our team.

In this role, you will test and commission MV/HV power systems, protection & control schemes, and critical electrical infrastructure from construction through energization.

This is a field-based position with travel to project sites across Canada on a 14/7 rotation.

What You'll Do

• Test and commission power system protection & control schemes in the utility, power generation, and oil & gas industry
• Read and interpret drawings and troubleshoot / resolve technical issues
• Report preparation and submission
• Assist with generation of commissioning startup procedures or work instructions
• Ensure compliance with all safety practices as per corporate, client, and industry standards
• Initiate and/or respond to customer inquiries, discuss trouble details and confirm resolutions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket, or an Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized institute
• 4+ years’ experience in MV and HV Commissioning
• Ability to work extended rotations and travel to project sites as required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Proven analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving abilities
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Background checks and Drug and Alcohol Pre-Access Testing will be required as part of employment.

Salary range: $115,000-$155,000 (excepted yearly earnings may vary).  #highvoltage
