The job, in the employer's words
AlphaGov delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
What you'll do:
- Design sampling frames, questionnaires, and fielding plans for resident, employee, rider, customer, and stakeholder surveys for public clients
- Select and document mode strategy (web, mail, phone, intercept, mixed-mode) and drive response-rate and coverage quality
- Apply weighting, nonresponse adjustment, and uncertainty communication appropriate to agency decision use
- Analyze results and write findings boards and councils can act on — not marketing decks
- Lead or advise mixed-methods add-ons (focus groups, key-informant interviews) when the scope requires it
- Present methods and limitations clearly to non-technical executives and elected/appointed bodies
- Contribute survey and community-research methods language to AlphaGov proposals when naming is authorized
- Coordinate with evaluation, workforce, and operations SMEs when survey work feeds larger studies
