Job Summary

The Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Manager will lead demand planning, inventory optimization, SKU management, and import/export execution to ensure Veo’s North American markets have the parts and vehicles needed to support reliable operations.

This role will partner with Supply Chain, Operations, Product, and Hardware teams to translate market demand and monthly consumption data into purchasing, replenishment, and inventory decisions. The manager will also coordinate international shipments and customs clearance, support tariff-related execution, and use field insights to improve parts utilization and inform hardware improvements.

This role is based at Veo’s Santa Monica headquarters, with in-office attendance Monday through Thursday when not traveling

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning - Develop and maintain vehicle, battery, and replacement parts forecasts based on fleet needs, seasonality, market growth, consumption trends, and operational priorities.
  • Supply Planning - Translate demand forecasts into purchasing and replenishment plans, balancing supplier lead times, inventory availability, safety stock, and service requirements.
  • Inventory Management - Monitor inventory across central warehouses and operating markets, coordinate replenishment and transfers, improve inventory accuracy, and reduce excess, obsolete, and slow-moving stock.
  • SKU Management - Lead SKU rationalization and maintain accurate parts information, including vehicle compatibility, replacement options, and discontinued items. Simplify parts ordering and provide practical guidance to warehouse and market teams.
  • Import/Export Execution - Coordinate international shipments, freight forwarding, customs documentation, clearance, and delivery. Work with customs brokers and internal stakeholders on tariff classifications, duties, country-of-origin information, and approved tariff mitigation initiatives.
  • Consumption Analysis - Lead monthly reviews of market-level parts consumption, repair activity, and inventory trends to improve forecasts, identify unusual usage, reduce waste, and control parts costs.
  • Hardware Collaboration - Partner with Hardware, Product, Quality, and Operations teams to translate market data and recurring repair trends into recommendations that improve parts durability, serviceability, and vehicle reliability. Coordinate follow-up actions between U.S. operations and Asia-based teams.
  • Cost Optimization - Identify opportunities to reduce inventory investment, parts consumption, freight expenses, and total landed costs while maintaining parts availability and operational standards.
  • Process Improvement - Strengthen planning, ordering, inventory controls, and reverse logistics processes, including warranty returns and recovery of reusable parts.

Requirements:

  • Experience - 7+ years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, service parts, logistics, or related operations. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Planning Expertise - Experience developing demand forecasts, replenishment plans, safety stock targets, and inventory strategies for physical products or replacement parts.
  • Inventory & SKU Management - Demonstrated ability to improve inventory accuracy, manage SKU lifecycles, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory across multiple locations.
  • International Logistics - Experience coordinating cross-border shipments and working with freight forwarders and customs brokers on shipment documentation, tariffs, duties, and customs clearance.
  • Analytical Skills - Strong ability to analyze consumption, inventory, and operational data and translate findings into practical planning and cost improvement decisions.
  • Hardware Familiarity - Experience supporting vehicles, batteries, electronics, or other manufactured products, with the ability to collaborate with Hardware and Quality teams on parts compatibility, field issues, and product improvements.
  • Systems & Tools - Experience with ERP, inventory management, or supply-planning systems. Advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets required; experience with business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership - Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate priorities and drive follow-through across Operations, Supply Chain, Hardware, Quality, and Finance.
  • Hybrid Role - Must reside within or relocate to a commutable distance from our Santa Monica headquarters. This role requires in-office attendance Monday through Thursday when not traveling.
  • Travel - Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including domestic market visits and occasional international travel.
