About the Team

DoorDash’s mission is to grow and empower local economies. By building intelligent, last-mile delivery technology for local cities, DoorDash connects people with the local businesses they care about, helping grow businesses and the communities that support those businesses. Our Consumer Retention Marketing team is responsible for building lasting relationships with our customers through personalized, scalable, cross-channel experiences that drive engagement and long-term value. We focus on connecting consumers with the most relevant products, merchants, and moments across DoorDash’s expanding ecosystem, including New Verticals like Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail, as well as high-impact seasonal and cultural Occasions.

About the Role

We are looking to bring on a strategic, solution-oriented, and data-driven retention marketer to join the Core Marketplace retention team.  In this role, you will focus on launching and iterating on CRM programs that drive growth and retention for our core business on DoorDash. The ideal candidate is able to think big picture and ideate on the Cx lifecycle in one moment, and seamlessly transition into the weeds of campaign execution and reporting in the next.  They have experience building consensus with cross-functional teams, building trusted relationships with cross functional partners, and excel at making data-informed decisions to accomplish campaign and business objectives. You will own end-to-end campaign execution — from channel strategy and audience planning through QA, launch, optimization, and reporting — ensuring every campaign delivers strong engagement and business results. Key areas of support include: creating and maintaining campaigns & workflow strategy for core lifecycle efforts, including offer, cadence, and audience testing; analyzing the impact of initiatives on key business metrics like order rate rate and revenue; creative ideation & iteration, including creative optimization w/ the help of internal creative resources; consulting and overseeing strategy for various Cx workstreams. In this role, you will collaborate with all parts of the business (strategy & operations, brand, product marketing, analytics) and with our Retention team to create and execute strategies that engage, retain, and resurrect customers on DoorDash. You will report to our Manager of Lifecycle on USMP on our Consumer Lifecycle Marketing team within our Growth Marketing organization.

  • Establish a strong working relationship with cross functional stakeholders in our Creative Studio, Promo Strategy, Product, Analytics, and Strategy teams
  • Manage CRM reporting dashboards, monitor trends, and make recommendations based on results
  • Stay current on marketing best practices in email, push and SMS and share learnings and insights regularly with the broader marketing team

  • 4+ years experience in CRM or email marketing
  • Deep familiarity with CRM technology including ESPs/marketing automation platforms
