The job, in the employer's words

At WelbeHealth, we serve our communities’ most vulnerable seniors through shared intention, pioneering spirit, and the courage to love. These core values and our participant-focus lead the way no matter what.

The Senior Accountant, Reporting is accountable for preparing, maintaining, and enhancing external financial reporting, regulatory reporting, lender reporting, internal management reporting, and other strategic reporting to support informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Revenue and Reporting Accounting Manager, this role partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and other cross-functional teams to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities.

This role is different because the Senior Accountant, Reporting at WelbeHealth:

  • Supports a rapidly expanding organization with increasing regulatory and entity-level reporting requirements across multiple markets
  • Has the opportunity to build and evolve reporting processes while taking on increasing ownership as the organization grows

We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:

  • Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
  • Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
  • 401K savings + match
  • Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
  • And additional benefits!

On the day-to-day, you will:

  • Prepare and maintain external financial statements, regulatory filings, and lender and operational reports, applying technical accounting judgment and audit-ready documentation
  • Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables across Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs by coordinating stakeholders, validating source data, and leading reporting execution
  • Partner with FP&A and operations leaders to analyze key reporting metrics, explain growth drivers, and translate financial results into clear, leadership-ready reporting narratives
  • Support month-end close, quarterly external financial reporting, the annual financial statement audit, Medicare/Medicaid audits, and other PACE-specific projects while developing deeper expertise in healthcare finance and regulatory reporting
  • Build scalable reporting infrastructure by improving automation, reporting efficiency, system integrations, internal controls, documentation, and repeatable reporting processes as requirements scale
  • Develop deep healthcare knowledge of the PACE business model, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Part D process flows, PACE regulatory constructs, and the business drivers behind reporting requirements
  • Manage competing priorities, driving execution across multiple functions and holding stakeholders accountable to critical reporting timelines and deliverables

Job requirements include:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in general, public accounting, or a combination of both; Big 4 experience preferred
  • Regulatory reporting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in applying technical accounting skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the ability to operationalize proper accounting treatment across multiple reporting areas
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, build projects and reporting processes from scratch, develop business context quickly, identify key stakeholders and data sources, and deliver clear, well-supported reporting outcomes
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, including Medicare, Medicaid, or other regulated healthcare environments, strongly preferred

We are looking for a highly adaptable accounting professional who can bring strong technical accounting expertise, thrive in an evolving environment, and help build scalable reporting processes that support WelbeHealth’s continued growth and expansion. If you’re ready to join a team that values both its participants and team members, we’d love to hear from you!

Compensation consists of base salary plus bonus. WelbeHealth offers a competitive total rewards package that includes a 401(k) match, comprehensive healthcare coverage, and a broad range of additional benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and relevant qualifications.
