About Integrated Specialty Coverages

Integrated Specialty Coverages, LLC (ISC) is a growth stage technology and data-driven commercial MGA and insurance wholesaler leading innovation in the market.

Backed by one of the leading private equity firms, Onex Partners, and led by a forward-thinking management team, ISC is combining the worlds of insurance and technology to create an Insurtech powerhouse. As a leading online distributor of insurance products for a range of industries and “Main Street USA”, we are looking for the right people to help us in our mission of achieving exponential growth. We strive to be the number one place to go for brokers and agents to source insurance. To accomplish this, we’re building a digitally focused team that deeply understands the intersection between user experience, data, and AI/ML to optimize the way we engage with our customers and partners.

Job Summary:

What Makes This Role Different? CCIS believes great salespeople should spend their time selling. That's why CCIS invests significantly in marketing and lead generation to provide our agents with a steady pipeline of inbound opportunities.  CCIS has done business with over 75,000+ licensed contractors, many of whom have been with the company for more than 10 years. While networking and relationship building are always encouraged, this role is designed to maximize your time helping customers and closing business, not chasing cold leads.

The Surety Renewal Agent is a high-volume, production-focused role responsible for retaining and renewing an established book of contractor and surety bond customers.

You do not need previous surety experience to be successful in this position. CCIS provides product-specific training and licensing support. We are looking for someone who communicates well, learns quickly, enjoys working with customers, and is motivated by measurable production goals and earning potential.

You will manage upcoming bond renewals, communicate with existing customers, collect required information and payments, assist customers through the renewal process, and identify opportunities to expand their relationship with CCIS.

Although surety will be your primary product specialization, you will be part of the broader CCIS Renewal team and will communicate with customers regarding renewals across multiple product lines as business needs dictate. Our dedicated Service team handles most major ongoing account servicing, allowing Renewal Agents to remain focused on customer retention, account management, and production.

This position begins fully onsite in our Sacramento office. Following successful completion of the probationary period, employees are eligible for a hybrid schedule with one work-from-home day per week.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-volume pipeline of upcoming surety and contractor bond renewals
  • Proactively communicate with existing customers regarding upcoming renewals, pricing, requirements, and payment
  • Review customer and bond information to determine what is needed to complete the renewal
  • Prepare and process bond renewals accurately and efficiently
  • Collect renewal payments and complete required renewal transactions
  • Work with surety carrier partners when additional information or underwriting review is required
  • Follow up consistently with customers who have not completed their renewal
  • Identify and address obstacles that could prevent a customer from renewing
  • Focus on retaining existing customers and meeting defined renewal production goals
  • Identify opportunities for customers who may also need General Liability insurance, Workers' Compensation insurance, or additional surety products
  • Assist customers with renewal-related questions across CCIS product lines as part of the broader Renewal team
  • Maintain accurate customer, bond, renewal, payment, and activity records within CCIS systems
  • Coordinate with the Service team when a customer requires assistance outside the normal renewal process
  • Manage daily and monthly renewal workflows while maintaining timely customer follow-up
  • Meet and exceed defined retention, production, activity, and other performance objectives
  • Contribute to improvements in renewal workflows, technology, and the overall customer experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Previous surety experience is a bonus but not required; product-specific training will be provided
  • Insurance, sales, account management, customer retention, financial services, or high-volume customer-facing experience
  • Active California Property and Casualty license preferred; candidates without an active license must be willing and able to obtain one, with licensing support provided by CCIS
  • Strong customer communication and relationship-building skills
  • Sales and retention mindset with motivation to work toward measurable production goals
  • Ability to comfortably manage a high volume of customer interactions and transactions
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accurate transaction processing
  • Ability and willingness to learn new insurance products, underwriting concepts, and technology
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work onsite in Sacramento during the initial probationary period

This role also offers bonus pay. Your Talent Acquisition representative will share more details about the bonus component should you advance in the interview process.
