About the job

We’re seeking a Principal Public Relations Manager to join the Corporate Communications team.

In this wide-ranging, fast-paced, and strategic role, you will be a core member of Twilio's Public Relations team, leading external communications in support of Twilio executives, customers, partners, and employer brand.

The role sits within Twilio’s Corporate Communications team, which is responsible for shaping and delivering Twilio’s story to media, customers, industry analysts, and employees. You will collaborate closely with partners across Social Impact, People, Investor Relations, Legal, Brand, and Corporate Communications to craft compelling external narratives that generate press coverage and awareness.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own External CAO Communications: Design and execute a comprehensive external communications strategy for Twilio’s Chief Administrative Officer, inclusive of media opportunities, thought leadership, speaking engagements, and LinkedIn social presence.
  • Manage Partner and Customer PR: Work closely with Twilio’s Partner and Customer Marketing teams to identify external storytelling opportunities highlighting Twilio’s customers and partners. Proactively pitch media on how Twilio’s customers and partners use the platform to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Lead Social Impact PR: Working closely with Twilio’s Chief Social Impact Officer to develop thought leadership content and secure media coverage spotlighting Twilio.org and the thousands of social impact organizations that use Twilio’s products to make a lasting impact across the globe.
  • Support Financial Communications: Support Twilio’s quarterly earnings, acquisition, and industry investment announcements by working closely with the company’s Investor Relations team.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Lead PR programs and drive media relations, including proactive press outreach, by collaborating with stakeholders across internal teams and external agency partners.

Desired:

  • Active practitioner of AI: Strong interest in how artificial intelligence is transforming public relations and communications, with a willingness to lead change and build innovative workflows using AI tools.
