Position Summary

The Patient Marketing Lead for ulixacaltamide will own the patient marketing strategy for Praxis’ lead commercial asset in essential tremor. This leader will translate patient and caregiver insights, disease understanding, brand strategy, and the treatment journey into clear, relevant experiences that help people living with essential tremor understand their condition and engage appropriately with their healthcare providers.

Working closely across Marketing, Patient Programming, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance, and external agency partners, this individual will set strategic priorities for the patient journey and lead the messaging and activation that support patients and caregivers at key moments.

This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role for a builder who can align stakeholders, make sound tradeoffs, and bring together patient insight, creativity, data, and disciplined execution to deliver meaningful patient-centered marketing in a highly regulated environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the patient marketing strategy for ulixacaltamide, including patient segmentation, journey mapping, strategic priorities, messaging, channel strategy, and activation plans aligned with the overall brand strategy.
  • Turn patient and caregiver insights into strategic decisions, partnering with Insights, Medical Affairs, Patient Programming, and other cross-functional teams to identify unmet needs, barriers, motivations, and key moments in the patient journey.
  • Lead the strategy and development of patient-facing campaigns, materials, and experiences, setting standards for clear, empathetic, differentiated communications that align with the brand strategy and applicable requirements.
  • Align commercial and cross-functional partners around an integrated patient experience, connecting patient marketing with HCP engagement, patient programming, patient services, access, and other relevant touchpoints.
  • Direct external agency partners and cross-functional teams in developing and executing patient marketing initiatives; set strategic briefs, priorities, timelines, deliverables, and standards for quality and accountability.
  • Define success measures and use research, campaign performance, and patient feedback to assess impact, identify barriers, and recommend changes to strategy, channels, and execution.
  • Lead the development of the patient brand from the ground up, including launch readiness, annual brand planning, management of the patient marketing budget, and development of capabilities, processes, and partnerships as the business scales.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, marketing, life sciences, public health, communications, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience in biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical marketing experience, including meaningful experience in patient marketing, patient engagement, or consumer-facing healthcare marketing; experience leading a brand workstream or major initiative preferred.
  • Demonstrated success setting and executing patient marketing strategy grounded in patient insights and the patient journey, with the ability to prioritize investments and influence decisions across functions.
  • Experience leading the development of patient-facing communications, campaigns, educational materials, or engagement initiatives through review and approval in a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Strong understanding of patient segmentation, journey mapping, messaging, omnichannel campaign development, and marketing measurement.
  • Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, Commercial Operations, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance.
  • Strong agency leadership, budget management, and program management skills, with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver high-quality work against aggressive timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to turn complex disease and treatment concepts into simple, meaningful patient-centered communications.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on leadership approach; comfortable building new strategies and capabilities, navigating ambiguity, coaching collaborators, and operating with urgency.
  • High level of ownership, strategic judgment, organization, and accountability for results.
  • Experience in CNS, neurology, movement disorders, essential tremor, or another specialty disease area is strongly preferred.
  • The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement. You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions
