We’re looking for a highly motivated hands-on lawyer with corporate securities experience who can successfully build relationships across the legal function and broader company. Join us!

About the Role

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…

  • Ensure compliance with securities laws, rules, and regulations, and Nasdaq listing requirements;
  • Provide legal oversight of the company’s public disclosures, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, earnings calls, investor relations-related disclosures, and corporate press releases;

  • Support the administration of the Company’s equity programs, including preclearance processes, corporate and insider 10b5-1 plans, insider trading compliance, dual-class stock matters, and Form S-8 and Section 16 filings;

  • Support processes related to quarterly and ad hoc Board and Committee meetings, and ensure corporate governance best practices;

  • Manage the planning and execution of the annual stockholder meeting, including the preparation of proxy statements, and advise on shareholder-related matters;

  • Assist with registered and unregistered securities offerings and complex strategic initiatives;

  • Support corporate-related tasks, such as developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures, drafting compliance certificates, advising on director & officer matters, etc.; and

  • Provide general advice and counsel to business partners in DoorDash’s Finance, Accounting, Equity Administration, Compensation, Corporate Development, Tax, Insurance, and Investor Relations teams.

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a corporate securities and/or executive compensation and benefits lawyer, working in-house at a public company, at a law firm, or a combination of both
  • You have experience with equity programs and processes, including unique equity award structures, related reporting requirements and coordination with Equity Administration teams

  • You are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment and have prioritized participating in DEI initiatives in past roles

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and present complex ideas simply and understandably to employees at all levels of the organization and external stakeholders

  • You have experience creating clarity and bringing focus and direction to the most important priorities that will drive the biggest impact, mitigating the most significant risks, and delivering the greatest return on the investment of time and resources

  • You are able to foster empathy, collaboration, and mutual respect in your practice, and you default toward assuming good intentions about others

  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, and you can deal with and navigate ambiguity

  • You are intellectually curious, humble (no task is too big or too small), embrace the development and use of AI to drive efficiencies and build leverage, and—through it all—don’t take yourself too seriously
