As a key member of the Finance team, the Director will partner closely with Commercial, Accounting, and Executive Leadership to develop financial plans, evaluate strategic investments, support revenue guidance, and enhance decision-making across the organization. This individual will play a critical role in helping the company scale its commercial operations by delivering robust forecasting, performance analytics, and actionable insights into key business drivers.

This is an exciting time to serve as a key partner to the Commercial organization—helping prepare for launch and support execution through launch and commercialization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner to Commercial leadership, providing financial guidance, strategic insights, and decision support to drive growth and profitability.
  • Lead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for the various Commercial functions, ensuring alignment between financial objectives and business strategy.

  • Provide executive-level financial reporting and performance insights, delivering clear recommendations on risks, opportunities, and actions to improve business outcomes.
  • Partner with Commercial leaders to establish performance targets and accountability measures, monitoring progress against budget, forecast, and strategic objectives.
  • Lead strategic investment analyses and business case development to support resource allocation, market expansion, commercial initiatives, and other growth opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, forecasting methodologies, reporting capabilities, and financial systems to enhance decision-making, scalability, and organizational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance business partnering, or commercial finance, including leadership responsibility
  • Experience working in the life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries, including support of commercial operations, revenue forecasting, pricing strategy, and commercialization initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and performance management, with the ability to provide financial insights that drive business decisions and deliver results.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and serve as a trusted advisor across Commercial, Finance, and cross-functional organizations, enabling alignment of financial strategies with business objectives.
  • Ability to develop sophisticated financial models and synthesize complex financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations that support decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Strong understanding of revenue growth drivers, pricing strategies, sales effectiveness, customer economics, payer dynamics, and market access considerations to optimize business performance and profitability.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex financial information into concise presentations, compelling financial narratives, and executive-level recommendations that facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Ability to anticipate risks, identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and develop data-driven solutions that support strategic priorities and advance business objectives.

Preferred Requirements

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
