The job, in the employer's words

About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.

At Pinterest, AI isn't just a feature, it's a powerful partner that augments our creativity and amplifies our impact, and we’re looking for candidates who are excited to be a part of that. To get a complete picture of your experience and abilities, we’ll explore your foundational skills and how you collaborate with AI.

Through our interview process, what matters most is that you can always explain your approach, showing us not just what you know, but how you think. You can read more about our AI interview philosophy and how we use AI in our recruiting process here.

As a Designer within Pinterest’s Paid Performance Marketing team, you’ll play an integral role in shaping how Pinterest shows up across the social and digital advertising landscape. You’ll concept, collaborate, and execute on a broad range of creative briefs from our world class Marketing team. The role requires passion for developing exceptional creative solutions and scalable design thinking.

What you’ll do:

  • Evolve and elevate Pinterest’s performance creative across social and digital touchpoints
  • Create high-impact, globally recognized creative solutions that drive the business forward. Deliver work that demonstrates excellence both for the Pinterest brand and the industry at large.
  • Iterate quickly and communicate ideas across various levels of fidelity, with the ability to receive feedback constructively as well as provide feedback to others.
  • Single-handedly develop pixel-perfect graphic assets.
  • Be a source of inspiration for the House of Creative more broadly. You will collaborate with copywriters, motion designers, producers, and marketers to shepherd the brand forward.
  • Present and articulate the thinking behind your work to key stakeholders, creative directors and team members.
  • Craft compelling visual stories, using key insights to “sell” in visual concepts and make our message as powerful and influential as possible.
  • Leverage all available AI tools to assist and optimize your existing workflow—from prompt engineering for static and motion assets to generating AI VO and AI music.

What we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with performance marketing or digital advertising. You are an insights-driven thinker with the ability to think beyond the pixels—designing story-based creative while keeping key insights and test data top of mind.
  • Passion for developing thoughtful design solutions that create a huge impact.
  • Exceptional attention to detail. You are a master of craft, composition, layout, imagery, typography, color and pacing.
  • Strong sense of concept within static and motion assets
  • A book of work with examples of outstanding digital and social creative.
  • You are on top of current design and cultural trends, following the latest news in design, music, art, fashion, AI, and tech.
  • Enthusiasm for taking on new opportunities. You push the boundaries and are excited by the possibilities offered by an ambiguous brief.
  • A talent for articulating ideas and presenting your work.
  • You’re constantly looking at how to improve process and workflow, leaning on AI where necessary.
  • You have excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
  • Experience working quickly and efficiently. You have the ability to address and prioritize multiple projects at once.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of inspiring others to achieve their best work.
  • A strong collaborator: a hands-on designer with deep experience working with partners from concept to delivery.
  • Master of design tools. You are fluent with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite — Magnific a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Visual Communications, Design, Advertising, or equivalent experience.
  • Craft-forward creative whose up to date with current AI toolsets
