The job, in the employer's words

About Vercel:

Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.

Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Community Manager, Experiential Marketing to bring Vercel’s developer community together through memorable events and experiences. You will plan and execute meetups, workshops, and community programs that build meaningful connections, deepen engagement, and bring our brand to life.

The Ideal candidate is creative and scrappy. You will build relationships with developers and community partners, collaborate across teams, and own event logistics, tracking, and reporting to measure impact and improve future experiences.

This position will be based out of the SF office in a hybrid basis (3 days/week) and includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.

What You Will Do:

  • Plan and execute a wide range of events, meetups, hackathons, developer events, and programs both in the HQ office and at outside venues
  • Take new community programs from zero to one, turning ideas into repeatable experiences that connect developers and grow engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Coordinate with support staff, including catering, AV, and facilities tech, to ensure all event requirements are fulfilled
  • Maintain accurate event records, including attendee lists, budgets, and post-event reports
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues or challenges related to events
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve event processes and enhance attendee experiences
  • Provide on-site support during events to ensure smooth operations and attendee satisfaction
  • Manage event-related communication, including invitations, reminders, and follow-ups

About You:

  • 3+ Years of experience in developer advocacy, devrel, community, or a similar role, running developer facing events, hackathons, etc.
  • Have creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
  • Are meticulous and have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality events
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Are able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Have flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, as required by event schedule

Compensation & Benefits:
