Senior Total Rewards Specialist

Location: Pune, India (Work from home)

Role Overview

Convera is seeking a Senior Total Rewards Specialist to support and enhance our global Total Rewards programs through a combination of benefits administration, compensation support, and employee engagement initiatives. Reporting into the Total Rewards team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of international benefits programs, global leave processes, vendor relationships, invoicing, and compensation activities.

You will also contribute to the design and implementation of benefits, retirement, wellbeing, and compensation initiatives, including market benchmarking, pay analysis, and annual compensation cycles. This is a broad, hands-on role split between compensation and benefits. You will support the development and application of Total Rewards frameworks, analyse data, coordinate core processes, and make practical recommendations for review by senior members of the team. As part of a global function, you will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate program effectiveness, ensure compliance, improve processes, and increase employee awareness and engagement with our Total Rewards offerings.

You will be responsible for:

Compensation

  • Supporting compensation processes and projects, including market benchmarking, pay range analysis, annual compensation planning, and the preparation of materials to inform reward decisions.
  • Conducting market pricing and benchmarking using compensation survey data and established internal methodologies.
  • Supporting participation in external compensation surveys and maintaining accurate market benchmark information.
  • Analysing employee pay, salary ranges, compa-ratios, range position, internal equity, and market competitiveness to identify trends and exceptions.
  • Supporting annual compensation cycles, including merit reviews, promotions, salary adjustments, and incentive planning.
  • Preparing compensation reports, models, and presentation materials to support recommendations and decision-making.
  • Conducting job matching, job evaluation, and job grading activities using established methodologies, preparing recommendations, supporting governance reviews as required, and escalating complex or unusual cases for review.
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Finance to respond to compensation queries and provide data-based guidance within established frameworks.
  • Maintaining compensation documentation, process guides, pay ranges, and supporting controls to promote accurate and consistent application.
  • Contributing data and analysis to pay equity, pay transparency, and regulatory reporting projects.

Benefits, Wellbeing & Leave

  • Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of international benefits programs.
  • Playing a key role in the design and implementation of benefits, retirement, and wellbeing initiatives that reflect company values and address employees' needs at every stage of life.
  • Managing global leave of absence programs, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with vendors, brokers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Supporting benefit renewals, market reviews, implementations, and plan changes by coordinating data, timelines, testing, and stakeholder actions.
  • Leading project plans and timelines for the implementation of programs and plan design enhancements.
  • Utilising analytical skills to evaluate program utilisation, cost, employee feedback, and market practice, identifying trends and recommending practical improvements.
  • Developing and delivering organisation-wide communications to inform employees and stakeholders about program updates and changes.
  • Managing benefits invoicing and payment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Maintaining benefits documentation, provider information, process guides, and employee-facing materials to support accurate and consistent delivery.

Shared Total Rewards Delivery

  • Coordinating and delivering Total Rewards projects and workstreams from planning through implementation, including developing project plans, coordinating stakeholders, tracking actions, identifying risks and dependencies, and monitoring delivery against agreed timelines.
  • Partnering with HR Business Partners to deliver Total Rewards initiatives, gathering and incorporating their business and employee insights to help shape practical, relevant, and scalable solutions.
  • Responding to employee and stakeholder queries, resolving routine issues independently and escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Ensuring compensation and benefits data is accurate, confidential, and handled in line with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Identifying opportunities to simplify, document, and improve Total Rewards processes and employee experience.
  • Collaborating with HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, Procurement, and external partners to deliver accurate and timely outcomes.
  • Keeping abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, and delivering changes to programmes to maintain compliance.

You should apply if you have:

  • Relevant experience in a compensation, benefits, or broader Total Rewards role, with practical exposure to both compensation and benefits activities.
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, including market benchmarking, salary ranges, pay positioning, internal equity, and annual compensation cycles.
  • Experience supporting employee benefits programs, renewals, vendors, communications, or administration, ideally across more than one country.
  • Strong analytical and numerical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and present clear findings.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large or detailed datasets.
  • Experience using compensation survey data from providers such as Aon, Mercer, WTW, Korn Ferry, or similar is desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience developing plans, coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines, tracking actions, and identifying risks or dependencies.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage recurring processes, deadlines, and multiple priorities accurately.
  • Practical experience of job evaluation, job grading, job matching, or role levelling using an established methodology or framework.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships with HR Business Partners, translate their input into Total Rewards requirements, and support the delivery of initiatives that respond to business and employee needs.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work effectively with employees, HR colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • A practical, collaborative approach, with sound judgement about when to resolve an issue and when to escalate it.
  • Experience working in an international, financial services, fintech, technology, or fast-paced environment is desirable.
