Job Overview:
As a UI Implementor you’re experienced in designing, executing, and implementing game user interface assets and animations. Prior game development experience for mobile & PC platforms and proven illustration, graphic design and motion graphic skills are highly valued.
*Whilst this position is being offered on a remote basis, we are only able to consider applicants who are currently located in BC, and ideally within the greater Vancouver area
Requirements
In this role, you will:
- Build and implement UI art and animations
- Work closely with UX, designers, and engineers to set up screens and animations
- Create UI layouts and high fidelity graphics with Lead Artist
- Work closely with engineers to integrate assets and animations within tech specifications for multiple platforms in editor
- Rapidly iterate and develop solutions to design challenges while following creative and art direction
- Address and integrate feedback from various departments to achieve bug-free and polished user experience
- Assist the Lead Artist in any necessary duties
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- 3+ years of experience developing interactive interfaces in game engine or web-based UI editors and tools;
- At least one shipped game title; An exceptional online portfolio featuring examples of your 2D UI work.
- A Degree/Diploma in Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, or Illustration or equivalent work experience;
- Unity, Unreal or other game engine experience
- An ability to translate complex information into a user-friendly layout
- Good Understanding of art/animation fundamentals and how to apply them in game assets
- Strong visual design skills (i.e., composition, layout, typography, colour theory)
- A passion for problem-solving as well as strong organizational and analytical skills;
- An obsession for getting designs to pixel perfect;
- The ability to accept direction, work well in a fast-paced environment;
- Expert knowledge of 2D art tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 CAD
